The first junior club/coaching session will be held from 18:00-19:00 on Thursday 3rd October. Previous juniors from last season, as well as any new juniors, are always welcome. Juniors should be of secondary school age, related to adult club members, and/or resident in Chilton, Upton or Harwell villages. Your coaches Richard and Rachel will be waiting to welcome you all with a fun mix of non-serious games and helpful hints and coaching tips to improve your game and make your badminton more enjoyable.

2013 Juniors Season Launched at AGM

posted 17 Sept 2013, 11:48 by Chilton Badminton   [ updated 23 Sept 2013, 12:10 by Richard ]

The AGM held Mon 16-Sep-2013 received an encouraging report of the first season's existence of the Junior Club and the formalisation of the club's safeguarding policy as required by Badminton England. Sadly, no juniors or parents were present. A number of last season's juniors have been elevated into the full adult club nights, and are already integrating well there, so congratulations to them.
Due to impending coach absences, the Junior Club will commence in October with the first session on Thursday 3rd October at its usual time of 18:00-19:00. It is intended to run on a weekly basis, with the usual breaks at Xmas, New Year and Easter. All sessions, both running and cancelled, will be indicated on the club calendar, visible on the website homepage.
We look forward to seeing the remaining juniors from last season, plus any secondary education juniors from Chilton, Harwell and Upton villages, especially those who may have been pupils at Chilton in their primary school years, on Thursday 3rd October at 18:00. Membership fees remain the same as last season, so parents are asked to bring their cheque books when they drop off their juniors in the hall.
